Birla Precision Technologies Ltd (BPTL), formerly Birla Kennametal Ltd, was formed in 1986 as a JV company between Birla Group and Kennametal Inc, USA. Birla Group acquired Kennametal’s share in the JV, following which Birla Kennametal was renamed “Birla Precision Technologies Ltd” (BPTL).  BTPL supply AT3 class rotary tool holders. AT3 grade rotary tool holders. Also manufactures high precision HSK tools, advanced products like Hydrogrip and CNC shrink fit tools at the most modern and well-equipped manufacturing facility in Aurangabad.

Besides, BPTL also exports in large volume to other major customers in the USA, Europe and more recently to the Far East including China. Leveraging its core competency in machining, forward integration into machining of precision components and castings was a natural progression and supply to global giants like Cummins, Knorr-Bremse, Husco International.
